R.E.S.T. January 2026

What is the REST Program?

In a world shaped by uncertainty, urgency and constant demands, rest becomes more than self-care, it is an act of reclamation. Reclaiming ease is not accomplished passively - it is active nervous system repair, inner realignment, and a quiet refusal to let stress, fear, and urgency culture dictate our lives.

The REST Program is a quarterly, Sunday sanctuary where we gather as a community to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what’s most essential. Together, we practice rest not as a luxury but as resilience, resistance, and collective care in dark and difficult times.

Each gathering will offer gentle structure and spaciousness—an invitation to let your body unwind, your mind settle, and your spirit recalibrate. With practices drawn from contemplative psychology, trauma-informed somatic work, art therapy interventions, and meditative traditions, REST supports you in restoring balance from the inside out.

What to Expect

We will meet quarterly, around the turning of the seasons. Because regulation is needed in daily life we will gather online from home on Sunday mornings in the Eastern time zone. Each 90 minute session will include some of the following:

Why REST with a Live Group?

Healing in isolation has limits. Our nervous systems are wired for co-regulation — we settle more efficiently in the presence of steady, attuned others. Through shared cues like breathing, stillness, and gentle movement, calmer states spread between people. Resting together isn’t just comforting — it’s biologically intelligent.

Why REST with Karina?

Karina blends evidence-based and contemplative practices from over two decades as an educator and clinician. Most recently, her work in Charlie Health’s intensive outpatient program has included guiding hundreds of clients through nervous system regulation, trauma-responsive care, and resilience skills. REST integrates neuroscience and contemplative wisdom into a grounded, accessible experience. Participants leave with practical, research-backed tools they can use in everyday life.
